Week 8 review

On Thursday, we learnt further about multimodal texts, and the various modes such as linguistic, visual, spatial, aural and gestural. We learnt the term 'intersemiotic awareness', which is the awareness of using multiple modalities together. 

On Friday, we studied copyright and copyright infringement. We also learnt about different factors involved in copyright, such as its validity, the importance of citations, and the concept of  'public domain'. We learnt about Creative Commons License, and the different types of copyright: attribution, non-commercial, no derivatives and share alike. After the lecture, we has a short quiz to test our knowledge of copyrights.
