Week 10 review

On Thursday, we learnt about multiliteracies. With the advent of technology, it is necessary to bring about a change in the traditional educational system. Multiliteracies involve multimodalities and tend to cater to the diversity in global classrooms. We were also introduced to the term 'transpositional grammar', which deals with the relationship between the creator of the image and the viewer. We learnt about the 'Quotation Sandwich' method of quoting, where a quote has to be preceded by an introduction and followed by an explanation. It was very helpful, as it made us aware of how a quotation could be inserted in an argumentative essay while making it coherent.

In Friday's class, we learnt about the relevance of visual literacy in the modern world, and how multimodal elements can enhance one's learning experience.
